Thank you everyone for your support of Cathedral Elementary and the Parent Teacher Organization this year. Please find below our year end report of activities, fundraising, and expenses.

Spring Social

All Cathedral Elementary families are invited to the Cathedral Elementary Spring Social and Pot Luck (formerly known as the FUNRaiser) on Saturday, May 20, 11am-2pm at Old Hickory Park in La Crescent.

Bring your own dish to pass (see a SignupGenius.com poll soon in your email). Please also bring your own plates and cutlery in an effort to reduce (limited quantities of disposable plates and cutlery will be provided).

BAKALARS HAS GENEROUSLY PROVIDED HOTDOGS FOR ALL OF US!

There is a big playground, lots of green space, and some lawn games will be provided. Feel free to bring your own favorite lawn games!

Cathedral Parents Night Out

Find a sitter for the kids and join other Cathedral Elementary parents at Bluffside on Friday, April 21, 6pm - 8pm, for drinks and conversation!

Minutes - PTO Meeting with President Ted Knutson

Here are the minutes from the February 21, 2017, meeting with ACS President Ted Knutson.

Thank you to all the parents that came out to ask your questions and listen to our president's vision for Cathedral elementary. I think our attendance numbers demonstrated well that Cathedral parents are passionate about our school.

Dine without Whine

Dine without Whine is this Friday, Feb 10 at 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. There is still space available for more kids to attend! For a free will donation to the Cathedral PTO, you can drop your kids off at the Cathedral gym while they have supervised play with other kids from school and you and a date go enjoy a night out. A sign up form for your kids went home in the folders. You can fill that out and bring it to the school office or contact Dawn O'Brien and tell her you plan on bringing your kids. Dawn, a few other parents, and some Aquinas older kids are all volunteering their time to help raise money and let you have a night out.

ACS President Ted Knutson to attend PTO Tuesday, Feb 21

Aquinas Catholic Schools President Ted Knutson will attend our next PTO meeting on Tuesday, February 21 at 7pm at Cathedral School. PLEASE ATTEND and ask your questions you have about our president's vision for Cathedral. I'll be asking about plans for a principal and the priority ACS has for Cathedral concerning resources, maintenance, improvement, etc.

Cathedral Meeting Minutes 1/25/2017

Here are the minutes from the Cathedral PTO meeting on January 25, 2017.

Pancake / Omelet Breakfast

The Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman is holding a Pancake and Omelet Breakfast to benefit Cathedral Elementary School on Sunday, January 29, 7:30am-12:00pm. It's the best deal in town for a meal too! Only $3 for a pancake breakfast, $4 for an omelet breakfast, for $12 to feed the whole family!

Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether you are a member of the Cathedral church or any church, whether you have kids in Catholic schools or have any kids at all! Invite everyone you know that likes breakfast!

PTO Meeting - Hopefully for sure this time!

After postponing the January PTO meeting twice due to inclement weather, the January PTO meeting will be held this Wednesday, January 25 at Cathedral School in the upstairs library library. Note we are meeting on Wednesday instead of our normal day, Tuesday.

And what else would you expect, but the weather people are again calling for snow on Wednesday! Hopefully not enough to cancel school and the PTO meeting again!
